Darien Threadgill
Executive Director

Darien Threadgill, a 1974 graduate of Cheyney University with a B.S. in Elementary Education, devoted over four decades to inspiring students in the Tredyffrin-Easttown School District. Known for his excellence and twelve consecutive years of superior service recognition, he made a lasting impact as a teacher and leader. After retiring, he served as principal of Green Valley Academy and later returned to Cheyney, where he now leads as Executive Director of The Cheyney Foundation, championing educational excellence and empowering the next generation of leaders.

Laren Enlow

Laren Enlow is a strategic development leader with over 20 years of experience in fundraising, alumni relations, and donor engagement. A skilled strategist and data-driven innovator, she has advanced institutional growth through leadership roles at Penn State University, The St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School, and The Catholic University of America. Currently serving as Senior Strategic Consultant at Blackbaud, Laren leverages her expertise in philanthropy analytics, AI integration, and relationship management to drive measurable impact for clients nationwide. A Harvard-trained nonprofit professional and accomplished thought leader, she has presented at major industry conferences including BBCON, APRA, and CASE. Passionate about community and equity, Laren serves on the board of Help Hope Live and is a former Commissioner for the Pennsylvania Governor’s Commission for African American Affairs.

Kevin Mahoney

Kevin B. Mahoney, MBA, is the Chief Executive Officer of the University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS), where he has led transformative initiatives shaping Penn Medicine into a global leader in academic health care. Since joining UPHS in 1996, he has held key leadership roles, including Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, and Executive Vice Dean for the Perelman School of Medicine. A visionary strategist, Mahoney oversaw major innovations such as the creation of the Ruth and Raymond Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine and the $1.5 billion Pavilion hospital project—the largest in Penn’s history. His leadership has advanced Penn Medicine’s integration of research, clinical care, and education, while modernizing its digital and operational infrastructure. A graduate of Millersville University with an MBA and Doctorate from Temple University, Mahoney also serves on multiple nonprofit boards and is recognized for his commitment to community service and health equity.

Steven Siddal

Steven Siddal is a Partner at Grantchester Group and President of Grantchester Energy’s Sustainability division, bringing over 35 years of leadership in the energy services industry. Since joining Grantchester in 2016 and being promoted to Partner in 2021, he has been instrumental in expanding the firm’s portfolio and advancing its position as a premier private equity company. A recognized expert in energy efficiency and infrastructure solutions, Steven has delivered comprehensive energy programs for hospitals and universities nationwide and held executive roles at three Fortune 500 companies, including EMCOR Services Fluidics, where he was a National Top 10 performer. His industry influence extends to his long-standing service with the Association of Energy Engineers, where he served as Board Member, Vice President, and President.

George Walker

Deacon George H. Walker, Sr. is a dedicated community leader, educator, and longtime servant of Holy Temple Church, where he has served on the Board of Deacons since 2004 and currently chairs the Official Board. With over 38 years as a special education educator in the Chester-Upland School District, he has devoted his career to fostering student success, mentoring young minds, and promoting inclusive learning environments. Beyond education, Deacon Walker actively leads numerous church and community initiatives, including the Men’s Fellowship, Youth Ushers, Camp COGIC, the MLK Day of Service, and the Grab-and-Go meal program, while also serving as President of the Chester Chapter of Cheyney University Alumni. His leadership reflects a lifelong commitment to faith, service, and the betterment of his community.
